“Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write or count. Childhood is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace which is right for each individual child.” - heartmath.org (2017).
A child's brain grows rapidly and the most during the first three (3) years of life. This is when synapses are connecting in the brain. After about age 4 synapses that are not used disconnect and wither away.
Parents wanting to introduce a second language to their children, this early window between birth and 4 years, is the best opportunity to do so.
Children who also get needed attention during these early childhood years between birth and three, also do better in life socially and educationally.
