Alice L. Belcher is proud to be the recipient of  multiple recognitions for her commitment and contributions to community.  Here are some of her noted contributions.
Established the First Black Woman Heal Day-MILWAUKEE COUNTY Event in Milwaukee, WI - April 1, 2017
Received Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors recognition for her many years of faithful and distinguished Milwaukee County service to families and professionals, for intervention care and training professionals in culturally responsive domestic and sexual violence prevention; and establishing the first Domestic Violence Advocate Certification Cohort ever to be offered at any institution of higher education in the State of Wisconsin.
City of Milwaukee Mayoral Proclamation and Declaration of  April 5, 2014, Alice Belcher Day
Received Mayoral recognition and proclamation for service - over fifteen years in education and community outreach in the City of Milwaukee, towards sustainable change to end intra-cultural domestic and sexual violence in Milwaukee families.
Spirit of St. Francis Distinguished Alumni Award - Cardinal Stritch University
Awarded the 2011 St. Francis Distinguished Alunni Award for volunteer service to women, children and families, and for single parent support,  intervention and prevention in family violence and providing holistic care and spiritual support for women and children since 1998.

Advocating for Milwaukee County Recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month - March 18, 2017
"One of the people who advocate for sexual abuse victims is Alice Belcher, who founded the community outreach program, Christian Woman’s Perspective Ministries. 'Nationally, April is Sexual Abuse Awareness Month but to have our specific County step forward and say we as a County are going to recognize this month, gives us the support of the county to address this issue, Belcher said." - Milwaukee Courier Newspaper

Received City of Milwaukee Mayoral Proclamation from Mayor Tom Barrett  for establishing the first Milwaukee County Black Woman Heal Day in Milwaukee County, in keeping with the international Black Woman Heal Day established by Lilada Gee of Madison, WI.  Official Black Woman Heal Day-MILWAUKEE COUNTY  logo, designed by Alice Belcher.  
November 2017, Alice Belcher released the first of her four-book library series on Family Violence and its Prevention.  Family Violence Prevention for African American Communities.  Grounded in the curriculum she wrote in delivering the Certification for Family (Domestic) Violence Advocate training (CFVA also known as CDVA) these textbooks are written to continue  the culturally responsive, best practice, trauma informed care and prevention strategies she researched and delivered during the CFVA six year pilot program in higher education.
